Founder

Agnes began her Pilates journey eight years ago while living in São Paulo, Brazil. Since then, she has explored a wide range of studios and styles, deepening her understanding of the practice with every step. Dutch by nationality but a citizen of the world at heart, Agnes grew up moving between countries as the daughter of a diplomat, an upbringing that shaped her open, adaptable approach to life.

With a corporate background and prior entrepreneurial experience, Agnes brings a business intuition to everything she builds. When she moved to Barcelona, she saw a unique opportunity to bring a contemporary approach to Pilates to the city: one where the customer experience is truly central, from interior design to teaching methods to team culture.

Fun fact, Agnes was pregnant throughout the entire process of building the studio, giving birth to her first child, Alix, just three months after āgo opened its doors. Agō was born from that same spirit: a space where you feel both challenged and completely at ease.
